Create a play box
If you do not always have the time to play with your child, create a play box for them.
Creating a box that has a range of items in will support them in developing their creativity.
You could make a dressing box from clothes, find some cardboard boxes that can be used to build, create and design a variety of things or even have some 'junk' items available to create musical instruments.
Playing is important for creativity and this is a key area in a child's development.
Adding lego or toy bricks to a box will allow children to build. Early construction work is vital for developing maths and geometry skills as well as allowing them to increase their understanding of art and design.
